Laser ,Types and Use

LASER :-                    LASER is an acronym of  Light Amplification by stimulated emission of Radiation. It is an optical device which produces an intensive beam of highly coherent, Monochromatic light[ Electromagnetic radiation, especially visible radiation, of only one frequency or wavelength]. It can travel over great distance without spread.   LASER LIGHT :-                                   1. It is very different than normal light and contains only one specific wavelength of light.                                 2. A laser light has very tight beam and is very strong and concentrated.                                 3. A laser light can go to the moon and then come back to the earth without any appreciable change in intensity.                                  4. The light released is monochromatic (consists of only one wavelength) and coherent.  LIPS ( LASER Induced Plasma Spectroscopy) :- It is based on plasma formation on temperature basis, the material absorbs all th

Capillarity use in Daily life

What is Capillarity?
                               - A tube with a fine and uniform bore throughout its length is called a capillary tube. When one end of it, is dipped in like water, the liquid rises or falls in the capillary tube above or beloved the surface of the liquid. This phenomenon of rising or fall of liquid in a capillary tube is called capillarity.
Application or Use in Daily life-
1. Melted Wax in a Candle-  Melted wax in Candle, rise in capillaries formed in a cotton wick and burn continuously. When we lit a candle then the wax starts melting and also start rising in the cotton wick that contains capillaries inside which help rising wax and candle burn by this continuous process.

2. The coffee powder easily soluble in water-  This is because of water immediately wets the fine granules of coffee by the action of capillarity.

3. The water rises in the Fields or Parks- The Water given to the field or parks rises in innumerable Capillaries formed in stems of plants and tree and reaches the leaves. it is very easy to understand how a whole enormous tree gets water from the earth to every leaf because trees have thousands of capillaries that help to rise in water.

4. Writing Nib-  Writing nib splits in the middle so that a fine capillary is formed in it. When it is dipped in ink, the ink rises in the capillary.
